Hi-Tech started molding High Temperature resins very early on in our companies history.
Hi-Tech supported GE Plastics prior to the establishment of their Pittsfield R&D center (PPDC) and was directly involved in much of their resin development including ULTEM resin. In 1985, Hi-Tech received the first commercial bag of ULTEM resin and this was the start of Hi-Tech molding High Temperature Resins.
Today, Hi-Tech molds over 100,000 lbs of High Temperature Resins including PEEK, PEI, PPS and LCP. It is the years of experience with High Temperature Resins, Hi-Tech has developed strong expertise in these types of materials. Hi-Tech continues to work closely with material suppliers to evaluate new materials, especially those designed to replace metals.
